The Chamber raises money for local charities
The Stonehenge Chamber of Trade, the Amesbury business-networking club, raised a total of £1,600 for two local charities in July, by holding a sponsored walk from Amesbury through the stunning Woodford Valley to the Black Horse, Little Durnford and back.
Chairman, Helen White said “we had hoped to raise several hundred pounds with the events proceeds being evenly split between the District Hospital’s Stars Appeal and the Dogs Trust at Newton Toney; we were delighted to raise £800 for each Charity”.
Last month, members of the Stonehenge Chamber of Trade presented the cheques to the Stars Appeal and the Dogs Trust.
Committee member, Alexandra Spencer, commented, “The chamber members are always keen to the support local charities. People have been very generous and we would like to thank those who participated in the walk, the marshals, the event organizers and of course the sponsors.”
