Local walks launched

The Stonehenge chamber of Trade this week has launched a series of local walks exploring the local area.

The walk leaflets are free to pick up from Amesbury library, the community shop and several of the hotels in the town.

The walks which were originally published in the Stonehenge Trader explores a different part of the local area and gives a guided circular route. The walks take in Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Larkhill, Durrington and Bulford and gives pointers on local history and things to look out for during the walk. Each walk also has a guide as to how long the walk should take and an idea of the level of difficulty.

Paul Leighfield from the Stonehenge Chamber of Trade said “Amesbury has a lot to offer and we hope the walks will be used by the local community as well as tourists visiting the town as they really show off some of the beautiful countryside right here on our doorstep.
